Nicolas Pepe, Ivorian winger, has completed a 5-year to join Arsenal valued at £72m from Ligue1 side LOSC Lille on Thursday, August 1, 2019.
According to a statement on Arsenal official website, Pepe, the Ivorian winger, has penned a five-year deal with the Gunners.
Speaking moments after signing the dotted lines, Pepe, who moves to the Premier League in a deal valued at about £72m deal, said: “Being here is very emotional because it has not been easy for me.
“I have come a long way and struggled a lot and so signing for this great club is a big reward," he noted, even as he was quick to speak on his decision to join Arsenal from Lille, he added: “It was my family and my agents.
“We talked and thought a lot about it. It was at the time of the CAN [Africa Cup of Nations] as well, we thought a lot during, before and after the CAN.
“It was important to make the right decision and I am convinced that Arsenal is the right choice.”
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Nicolas Pepe, Ivorian winger, has arrived in London for a mandatory medical at Arsenal ahead of completing a £72m switch from Ligue1 side Lille.
According to UK Sun report, the 24-year-old is closing in on a five-year-deal, the will also see Pepe become Arsenal record signing.
At the moment, the winger is presently having his first official Arsenal photos shots, according to UK Sun report.
