American political activist, Ilhan Abdullahi Omar, has become an inconic figure in Africa as a result of her life and work.

Representing Minnesota’s 5th congressional district, she acts as a voice for the voiceless, and has also made a few enemies along the way.

She is on record to be the first Somali-American, the first naturalized citizen from Africa, the first non-white woman elected from Minnesota and one of the first two Muslim women, along with Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, to serve in Congress.

Since she took office, Omar has been advocating for cheap housing, global healthcare and the forgiveness of student loans.

This has led to numerous conspiracy theories, threats on her life and harassment by politicians who don’t agree with her methods.

She however has huge support from Africans as many have lauded her for efforts in office, especially in respect of those slandered.

In new photos that have since gone viral, she was spotted with Nancy Pelosi in Ghana and they looked lovely in clothes as Pelosi added a beautiful Kente design to her outfit.

In another report, 61-year-old retiree, Victoria Duah Honu, retired to Ghana after spending over 30 years in South Africa and then set in motion plans for her business.

Preparations to start her business began in March 2017 and she was ready for the next phase of her life eight months later.

Honu revealed that her work of eight years as a nurse became a challenge when she started a family.

The main reason, she explained, was that work-life balance turned out to be too much to handle.
