- Pep Guardiola has set a new unusual record for himself among the Premier League managers
- The Manchester City boss was shown a yellow card during the Community Shield clash with Liverpool
- A new rule to caution Premier League managers was introduced in 2018 to curb touchline misbehaviours
Pep Guardiola becomes the first Premier League boss to be yellow carded during the Community Shield match between Manchester City and Liverpool.
The Spanish boss was cautioned by referee Martin Atkinson few minutes to the end of the first half in the Wembley fixture.
Guardiola was not happy with manner at which Joe Gomez challenged City captain David Silva in a bouncing ball incident.

Fourth official Stuart Atwell alerted the referee Atkinson as he proceeded the technical area to show the former Barcelona boss a yellow card.
Rules to show managers yellow cards were introduced by the FA in 2018 to clean up touchline behaviour.
But the rules were only applied in the Football League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, EFL Trophy and National League.
However, after the laws were updated by the International Football Association Board (IFAB), the top-flight bosses are now liable to get booked.
A Premier League statement declared: "Managers and coaches will have to be on their best behaviour and set a good example as they can now be shown yellow and red cards for misconduct.
"Any team official deemed guilty of an offence can be cautioned or sent off.
"And if the offender cannot be identified, the card will be shown to the senior coach in the technical area, usually the manager or head coach, as the person responsible for the other team officials.
"An experiment with this approach has been successful and revealed benefits at all levels, including for young referees dealing with difficult adult coaches."
Meanwhile, Liverpool vs Manchester City ended in a 5-4 shoot-out win after both sides settled for a 1-1 scoreline during regulation time.
Georginio Wijnaldum missed his spot-kick as Gabriel Jesus scored the deciding penalty to win it for City as they retain the Community shield trophy.
