Kennedy Agyapong strikes: Says he would tear down Badu Kobi's church

- Prophet Badu Kobi has been in the news for his ethnocentric comments regarding women of certain tribes in Ghana

- Social media was awash with insults and criticisms directed at the man of God

- Kennedy Agyapong has however threatened to breakdown the church

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has vowed to tear down the church building of embattled founder of the Glorious Wave Church International at Sakumono.

According to him, the likes of Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi is just known for amassing wealth at the expense of the poor women who were always crowded in his church in search of miracles.

He made this known in while speaking on Accra-based NET 2 TV.

“I will march women to the place and breakdown the church. There is nothing that can stop me from going after this foolish man who claims he is a Man of God,” he said.

Mr Agyapong added that if Ghanaian women don’t demonstrate against the man of God, he would lose a lot of respect for them.

"His comments were borne out of foolishness and not research. What is his level of education to conduct such a research?,” he quizzed.

According to the aggrieved market women, the comment passed by Badu Kobi was unfortunate and derogatory. Simply put, it undermined the womanhood of Ashanti virtuous women, they claimed.

In the voice of the angry market women captured in an interview, they’ve vowed to summon Prophet Kobi before the king of the Asante kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
