- YEN.com.gh has come across a video of a whiteman speaking ‘Twi’ on the streets of London, United Kingdom
- While interacting with some young Ghanaian men, the whiteman spoke fluent Twi as he told the young men about his childhood
- He recollected living in Ghana with his parents and attending secondary school at Opoku Ware
A whiteman has got social media buzzing after a video of him speaking 'Twi' fluently went viral on social media.
In the video sighted by YEN.com.gh, the old looking man spoke the Akan dialect 'Twi' to some young Ghanaian men on a street in the U.K.
The man who seemed like he bumped into the Ghanaian men conversed with them in 'Twi' as he told them about his childhood education.
“I went to school in Bristol, which part of Bristol are you talking of? That is where I finished primary education.,” he said in Twi.
After one of the young men asked him whether he ever lived in Ghana, the whiteman responded in Twi: “I was born in Akyem Oda, I went to seven primary schools.”
“I came to finish my eleven plus here in Bristol then I went to Opoku Ware Secondary School. I am an Owarean,” he interestingly added.
He revealed how his family would move from one area to the other, resulting in the situation where he attended the seven primary schools.
As he spoke the 'Twi' so fluently, the young men expressed amazement as they laughed and interrogated him further.
This video is a rare one because it is uncommon to see an old whiteman speaking 'Twi' in the manner he did.
Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh recently published a similar story about a white woman captured eating fufu in a video that surfaced online.
At a funeral, the young white lady was seen eating fufu as if she were a Ghanaian from the Ashanti region.
