Tennis star, Serena Williams, has set a new record as the highest-paid sports women for four years in a row.
YEN.com.gh understands that this came to light after the sportswoman earned $29.2million in a year.
Williams, who has won the singles grand slam 23 times would receive only £3.4m dollars as prize money.
According to ameyawdebrah.com, 21-year-old Naomi Osaka from Japan won $24.3 million after benefitting from endorsements and prize-winning pots.
Taking the third position is Angelique Kerber from Germany who grabbed £9.7m in the year 2019.
Serena Williams’ sister, Venus, settled for £4.8m for the year 2019.
