Fact-check: Michael Job aka ‘Fake Jesus' is not dead

- Michael Job,a US preacher and actor has become an internet sensation since his pictures hit the internet

- Photos and videos showing him dressed as the character Jesus Christ have been widely shared on social media across Africa

- Following news that he had died, YEN.com.gh checks reveal otherwise

Reports circulating that the ‘Fake Jesus’, real-named Michael Job, has died are false.

Reports emerged from Tanzania and Kenya that the popular preacher had passed on August 3.

However, BBC Swahili reports that Michael Job is alive and still in Nairobi despite claims that he was deported by Kenyan authorities.

The ‘Fake Jesus’ became an internet sensation after he was spotted preaching in Kenya and South Africa.

Michael Job, who doubles as an American actor, has an uncanny resemblance to Hollywood’s depiction of Jesus.

Meanwhile, this is what he left on his Facebook page regarding his mission to win souls for Jesus:

Today Paul Maurer and I received the opportunity to peach on the CFAN outreach truck. Hundreds of souls made a decision for Jesus to be the Lord and Savior of their lives.

“So many children receiving Jesus, praise the Lord! "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."
