- Neymar Jr edging closer to Paris Saint Germain exit
- The 27-year-old could be joining Real Madrid in a sensational move this summer
- The Brazilian is likely to be excluded from PSG squad that will face Nimes in league opener
Real Madrid could be Neymar's new destination as the Galacticos are reportedly chasing the £188 million-rated winger this summer.
Despite signing the likes of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao and a few others, Los Blancos are still not satisfied with the business they did so far in the transfer window.
They are hoping to put their disappointing 2018-19 outings in all competitions behind them by making quality signings who will help them fight for silverware at all levels.
Real chief Florentino Perez has been said to be offered the player for a comparable price.
However, they seem to be at advantage of landing the Brazilian forward since his former club, Barcelona are counting their costs of re-signing the winger according to SunSport.
Neymar left the Camp Nou two years ago and became the world's most expensive player after joining Paris Saint Germain in a deal valued around £200 million.
The former Santos forward has however stated that he wants to leave owing to the club's lack of competition on the continent.
They have crashed out of the UEFA Champions League in the last two editions at the round of 16 stage - despite having some of the best legs on the continent.
According to Le Parisien, Portuguese super agent Jorge Mendes is the one handling the move, while Neymar was said to have exchanged messages with Karim Benzema and Marcelo.
Meanwhile, it would be recalled that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has agreed to sell the 27-year-old if he gets the right price for him.
Neymar could be left out of the Parisians opening Ligue 1 fixture against Nimes with the club's sporting Director Leonardo saying he will be left out of the meeting.
He suggested that the Brazilian's move away from the Parc Des Princes “more advanced" than ever this summer.
Barcelona would have loved to have their former player back but may not be able to cough out that so much money for the forward.
They had initially offered PSG £90m plus a choice of two players, including Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele, but the the French champions are not interested in a player plus cash deal.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Paris-Saint-Germain have confirmed that Brazilian football star Neymar will not be part of their squad that will face Nimes on Sunday, August 11.
This is because PSG chiefs are in more advanced discussions on the transfer of Neymar to either Real Madrid or a return to Barcelona according to UK Sun.
Neymar has been reported to be demanding a move away from Paris-Saint-Germain and the club are now said to be ready to sell him at the right price.
