Ivorian musician Houon Ange Didier popularly known by the stage name DJ Arafat has passed away after his involvement in an ugly road accident that took place on the night of Sunday, August 11.
According to reports making the rounds, the 33-year-old artist who sustained injuries from the accident, died around 8am on Monday, August 12, in a clinic in Abidjan, Côte D’Ivoire.
Since the news of DJ Arafat's death, many social media users have gone online to eulogise him. Some Ghanaian stars have also joined in the mourning on social media.
Leading the charge was Black Stars captain, Dede Ayew, who described DJ Arafat as the best of his generation.
Asamoah Gyan was heartbroken.
Majid Michel told DJ Arafat to sleep well.
Other African stars like former Cote d'Ivoire and Chelsea star Didier Drogba, Nigerian musician Davido, and Togo's Emmanuel Adebayor have also shared mourning messages on social media.
