Photo of Ghanaians and British standing on bridge over important river stirs emotions

- A photo of the River Densu which was taken in the year 1914 has caused a stir online as people have reacted to it.

- The photo shows five people standing on a bridge and surrounded by various trees some of which have their roots in the water.

- Per information available, the river serves as a border with another town in the Eastern region known as Adoagyir.

YEN.com.gh has sighted a photo of the Densu river which was taken in the year 1914 and has stimulated fond memories from a cross-section of Ghanaians.

The photo was reportedly taken at Nsawam in the Eastern region, where the river is located.

The town is located on a major railway and the highway to Kumasi in the Ashanti region.

Ghana the Black Star of Africa reports that the river acts as a border with Adoagyir which is another town in the same region.

The Densu river acts as a source of water for both domestic and industrial use for people in and around Nsawam.

In the photo that has since gone viral, five people are standing on the bridge; two on one side and three on another.

Surrounding the people are various trees, most of which have their roots submerged in the river.

Eagle believes there is hope for the town known as Nsawam.

Green recalls he grew up at Nsawam-Adoagyir.

Untamed recalls the big onya tree he sees in the photo.

Adjaka exclaims it is his birthplace.
