Information gathered by YEN.com.gh have it that Ghanaian footballer, Kingsley Sarfo, has been released from Sweden prison.
This follows an earlier report by YEN.com.gh that the Black Stars midfielder was jailed for alleged child rape.
He was sentenced to a 2-year jail term, after pleading not guilty to the offence, explaining that did sleep with the girl because he did not know she was under-aged.
He is reported to have been released earlier than set on grounds of good conduct in prison.
Sarfo has also been deported to Ghana on the commands of Prosecutor Rikard Darell of the Malmo District Court in Sweden.
He had gained prominence in his career after Coach Kwesi Appiah invited him to join the national team in 2017.
He played against Uganda in Ghana’s FIFA World Cup qualifier that year.
Sadly, Sarfo’s international career has been curtailed by the rape charges against him and his being thrown into prison.
He is reported to be ready to rejuvenate his career with a local team in Ghana.
