A Plus gives NPP 4 things to do to win him back

Comedian Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, says the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) must first accept his terms before he would return to the party.

A Plus is known to be a staunch supporter of the governing NPP but seems to have fallen out with some bigwigs in the party.

He was one of the ardent campaigners as the NPP handed the NDC a heavy defeat during the 2016 general elections.

However, A Plus has recently been a critic of the government, having previously accused certain appointees of engaging in corrupt acts.

In a Facebook post, the musician outlined certain terms that the NPP must meet before he returns to the party.

He said the party must first develop a new constitution, put out a two-year development plan and put an end ex-gratia.

My boss, Gabby Otchere-Darko invited me to a meeting in London. We spoke for about an hour. His message was very simple. Kwame come back home,” he wrote.

“The NPP needs you. I really want to go back to NPP. Now here are my terms and conditions.

1. 20years development plan

2. End ex-gratia

3. New constitution

4. Explain why you sacked Dr Anyaa.”

A Plus also lamented the unjustified sacking of Dr Felix Anyaa, a former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

He wondered why a CEO of such repute would be sacked from his job when he actually ticks all the right boxes of a patriot.

Which good president will sack a CEO who does not take salary or allowances, did not accept official car, residence or driver, uses his own money to buy drugs and beds for the hospital, uses his own money to fix oxygen plants which had broken down for 3 years, did not accept even fuel?” A Plus added.
