- He also said he could only pay Menzgold investors if government helped him retrieve a debt owned him in Dubai
The embattled CEO of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly called NAM1, has revealed that he was never bothered with the name-calling he experienced.
NAM1 said he was called a thief, murderer, and all sorts of names when his company collapsed.
He said people also accused him of embezzling funds and absconding, claiming that those were all false accusations.
According to NAM1, he is not bothered at all about those name-calling because one must suffer injustice in life.
He made this revelation during a press briefing on Monday, August 19, 2019, in Accra.
One of the things that stood out in his address was his revelation that he could only pay Menzgold customers if only the government would help him retrieve a debt owed him.
He claimed that a gold company in Dubai owed him $39m adding that when the government helps him fight for this amount, he would settle all Menzgold customers.
NAM1 also observed a minute-silence for those who lost their lives due to the huge amount they invested with his company.
Again, he said he has not regretted investing in Ghana’s entertainment industry.
According to him, his investment is genuine and when Menzgold bounces back, he would make more investment than he did formerly.
