The death is reported of Lance Corporal Alhassan Asare, a police officer at Akim-Swedru in the Eastern region.
His lifeless body was found on Friday, August 16, 2019 at the top floor of Dukes Petrol Filling Station by his colleague who had gone to fill his car.
He was spotted on a plastic chair with his rifle in between his thighs with severe gunshot wounds in the head with his uniform soaked with blood.
According to reports by Dailymailgh.com, a police team had been dispatched to the scene at the time of their visit to investigate the matter
The development comes barely 24 hours after another officer was gunned down by unknown assailants at Manso-Akropong in the Ashanti Region.
