A dismissed police officer, Eric Agyei, also known as Kuma, has been identified as an armed robber by some victims.
YEN.com.gh understands that the Kuma and two other suspects were identified by three out of nine of their victims at the Koforidua Central police station.
The other suspects have been identified as Samuel Appiah, a wood carver and Mutakilu Sadiq, a driver.
The suspects, who wore police and military uniforms in the course of their operations, are currently being processed for court.
Per a report by adomonline.com, they were picked up by police officials at Taifa on August 22, 2019, after stealing GHC7000 from a customer of a bank.
In January 2019, they allegedly robbed a carpenter of an amount of 9,800 and two mobile phones worth GHC410.
In another report, YEN.com.gh is in possession of a photo of a scrap dealer, Mohammed Kwame, who has been arrested for stealing a motor bicycle from a police station.
Kwame, aged 28 years, allegedly stole the motorbike from a police station at Malejor, near Oyibi in the Greater Accra region.
Together with his accomplice known as Razak, they broke into the station and left with the motorbike with registration number GP 4818.
About 30 minutes later, Kwame was arrested after he was spotted by a police official riding the motorbike along the Dodowa-Adenta road, with Razak sitting behind him.
Razak managed to esape but Kwame was picked up with the assistance of a military patrol team.
