Per a report by peacefmonline.com, Bawumia passed the comment during a meeting with Metropolitan and Municipal District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in Accra.

He added that he believes Ghanaians are discerning and are aware of his contributions to politics in Ghana.

In a letter sighted by YEN.com.gh, he explained that he is not at liberty to speak about the reason for his exit because he swore an oath of secrecy.

Boateng however thanked the president for the opportunity to serve on the board and asked him to pay closer attention to its activities.
