- Three popular Ghanaian actors have gotten the nod to represent the NDC in their respective constituencies
- They are John Dumelo, Dzifa Gomashie and Ebi Bright

The 2020 general election is just around the corner and many have offered themselves to help their communities.
On Saturday, August 24, 2019, the National Democratic Congress held their Parliamentary primaries.
Some 524 aspirants presented themselves to become Parliamentary candidates of the biggest opposition party across 157 constituencies in the country.
Among the big winners on the day were three popular Ghanaian actors.
YEN.com.gh has gathered their names and they are:
1. John Dumelo:
The renowned actor has made his political ambition known.
Dumelo secured the nod to represent the NDC in the Ayawso West Wuogon Constituency after reigning supreme over Suzzy Afua Adoboe.
Dumelo recorded 758 out of the 859 votes cast, to defeat Adoboe who had 99 votes.
2. Dzifa Gomashie:
The veteran actress is looking to enter Parliament next year.
Dzifa secured the nod to represent her constituency, Ketu South. Dzifa defeated four other candidates to earn the ticket.
She had 586 votes with her closest contender, Fogah Nuku, recording 555 votes.
3. Ebi Bright:
Ebi Bright will represent the NDC in the Tema Central Constituency after flooring two other candidates.
Bright polled 421 while Sedinam Matanawui and Carl Owuompesika had 249 and 111 votes respectively - 781 voted on the day.
