- According to Forbes, Swift earned about $185 million in the past year
- The country singer also topped music star, Beyonce, who made second place on the list
The reward for hard work has been said to be more work, but that does not deny the fact that success is also a worthy end for working hard.
Many entertainers go into their field because they enjoy what they do but the monetary reward at the end of the day is also satisfying especially if they surpass veterans in the industry to top the list.
YEN.com.gh has gathered that country singer, Taylor Swift, has emerged as Forbes highest paid woman in music.
According to Forbes, 29-year-old Swift who is also the world’s top earning singer was able to make $185 million including tax in the past year. It was gathered that much of her earnings were made from her Reputation Stadium Tour which garnered $266 million.
Interestingly, Taylor Swift was able to beat Beyonce at becoming the highest paid woman in music as she was number two on the list with the sum of $81 million.
Rihanna also came third on the list with much of her earnings coming from cosmetic line, Fenty Beauty in collaboration with LVMH, a luxury goods outlet.

Just recently, YEN.com.gh reported that American rapper, Jay Z, was recently named the world's first hip-hop billionaire.
It was also gathered that the billionaire rapper is involved in several profitable businesses including real estate, liquor, art collections and more.
According to Forbes, his music catalog is worth $75m, his streaming service, Tidal is worth $100m, his art collection is worth $70m, his cash and investments are worth $220m, to name a few.
Meanwhile, in a video that has gained traction on social media, two police officers were captured directing a 'lady' to collect a sachet rubber she threw into a gutter with her hand.
For what has been normalised in our society, most people have thrown sanity to the wind and continue to live below human dignity and perhaps deserve to be compelled to do the right thing.
