- Lydia Seyram Alhassan has donated 11 cars and 11 mobile phones to 11 electoral areas in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency
- The MP presented the items to the lucky constituents under her entrepreneurial scheme
- She noted that donation is to help bridge the unemployment gap and relieve financial burden on some constituents, and to ensure growth and sustainable development
The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, has presented 11 vehicles to her constituents.
The legislator presented each electoral area in her constituency with a KIA Morning saloon car.
The electoral areas which benefited are Okponglo, Dzorwulu, Abelenkpe, West Lands, Tesano, Mempeasem, Roman Ridge, Christian Village, East Legon, Legon A and Legon B.

Dubbed the “Ayawaso West Wuogon Entrepreneurship Scheme”, the vehicles are meant to create jobs for constituents.
They will be used as commercial public transport or Uber service vehicles to generate revenue for the various electoral areas.
Speaking at a ceremony to hand over the vehicles, Ms Alhassan said she was committed to providing jobs for her constituents through entrepreneurship.
She said the presentation of the vehicles was part of a number of models aimed at creating more employment opportunities for her constituents.
According to her, other entrepreneurial opportunities will be created within the constituency in areas such as sewing, interior décor, fashion design and catering.
“We are rolling out makeup, interior decoration, catering, sewing and fashion designing and many other programmes under the Youth Entrepreneurship Schemes, and this is just the beginning,” she said.
“This is not an NPP thing. This is for the whole constituency. I am inviting all the political parties and our members to join me in this cause. It is going to develop our constituency; it is going to develop our electoral areas.”
Ms Alhassan, succeeded her late husband, Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko as MP for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
