Rising Nigerian musician, Jidenna, has incurred the wrath of social media users with his reaction to the allegation that most Nigerians are scammers.
Jidenna is reported to have stated that Nigerians are branded scammers because they are smarter.
He explained that the level of smartness depicted by Nigerians results in excellence in various spheres of life.

His comments followed the recent arrest of 77 Nigerians by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States of America.
This description did not go down well with social media users who reacted to his statement:
Boateng said the smartness is leading some of them to their graves.
Oppong added the smartness he is proud of leads to fraud.
Dua advised him to use the gift of smartness for better things.
Ndam added the smartness has brought shame and disgrace.
To Francis, so-called smart people are professional fools.
Lawrence revealed he earlier respected Jidenna.
In other news, Janet Doku-Kwarteng, who was born Ama Kezia, began dealing with challenges right from childhood.
At two years, she lost her father and had difficulties with getting herself educated until a Good Samaritan showed up in her life.
Anthony Doku-Kwarteng, whose surname she eventually took, did his best to take her through basic school till she completed Senior High School (SHS) in 2007, but was unable to continue because of financial challenges.
