All the lovely photos you missed from the PANAFEST and Emancipation Day

- Lovely photos from the Pan African Festival (PANAFEST) and Emancipation Day have surfaced online

- The photos were shared by the Ghana Tourism Development Company and showed various scenes captured from the celebration

- PANAEST spanned from Saturday, July 20 to Saturday, August 3, 2019 and was on the theme "Beyond 400 Years: Reaching Across Continents into the Future”

From Saturday, July 20 to Saturday, August 3, 2019, Ghana marked the Year of Return edition of the Pan African Festival (PANAFEST) and Emancipation Day.

Under the theme,"Beyond 400 Years: Reaching Across Continents into the Future”, several events were held to mark the historic occasion.

YEN.com.gh understands that programmes were held in various cities including Assin Praso, Cape Coast, Elmina, Sekondi-Takoradi, Assin Manso and Accra.

Details from the Ghana Tourism Development Company show that a grand durbar, which was attended by President Akufo-Addo, was held at the Cape Coast stadium to climax of the celebrations.

Lovely photos that were captured in the course of the events have flooded social media.

In other news, a team of African-American legal practitioners took part in an e-Ananse Book Reading project on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.

This was during the third edition of the e-Ananse book reading in Osu, Accra.

The event was themed “Celebration of Toni Morrison”.
