Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo has shared a heartbreaking encounter with a history of cancer in her family.
The actress said her father and sister both died painfully of cancer, and she fears she might die the same way.
According to her, the disease has been confirmed in her blood and genes, therefore, it is possible she might go through what her relatives went through.

She revealed that her sister, for instance, suffered from multiple cancer attacks before her death, and it was painful to see her go through all that.
Afaglo said he sister had breast cancer, cancer of the spine, blood cancer known as leukemia, brain cancer, which spread through all of her body before dying in a painful manner.
Now, she, together with the rest of the family, are also scared of suffering the same fate after it has been confirmed she has cancer traits in her blood.
“My life is at risk as well because now, I can confirm that it’s in my blood, it’s in my genes. I mean my dad and sister died of cancer and we are scared,” Afaglo said.
"My sister went through all types of cancers, it was sad, from her breast to her spine, to the blood, to the brain, to everywhere, it was very tough for us all,” the actress sadly added.
She further urged everyone to read more about cancers and how to prevent it because it comes in different forms not readily recognizable.
The actress is married to Eugene Baah of Praye fame, and they have two children.
