The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that it will be recruiting new teachers for the 2019/2020 academic year.
According to the GES, only qualified trained teachers who meet all requirements of the Service will be considered for recruitment.
The Service outlined four main requirements for all persons hoping to be enlisted as teachers for the next academic year.
Prospective applications must have completed and passed the final year College of Education Examination.
They must also have completed the mandatory National Service and passed the Teacher Licensure Examination.
And lastly, all prospective applicants must be willing to work wherever they are posted, the GES said.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Director of the Human Resource Management Division (HRMD) of the GES, Adjoa Van Vicker.
“Persons who do not meet all the four stated requirements will not be shortlisted,” the statement said.
“There are also limited vacancies for graduates with early childhood/basic education who meet the above criteria for consideration,” it added.
The GES said qualified candidates can complete the application form and upload the relevant certificates on www.gespromotions.gov.gh.
This must be done on or before September 15, 2019, the Service highlighted.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that former president John Dramani Mahama has expressed confidence in returning to the Presidency, insisting he wants to “fix the mess” created by the Akufo-Addo government.
According to him, all the that governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has done is to plunge the country into hardship.
