Xenophobia: Tiwa Savage pulls out of South African event over the attacks against Nigerians

- Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has reacted to the recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa

- The singer condemned the act as she sympathised with victims of the xenophobic attacks

- Tiwa also took action by pulling out of a DSTV festival to be held in South Africa

The recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa has raised serious outcry in several African countries particularly in Nigeria as people have allegedly been killed and tortured with their properties being destroyed.

According to several reports, South Africans have been attacking foreigners, particularly Nigerians in their country.

Many celebs have taken to social media to condemn the acts including Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage. The musician wholly condemned the attacks as she sympathised with victims of xenophobia in South Africa.

Tiwa also took her condemnation a step further by pulling out of an upcoming DSTV delicious festival that was set to be held in South Africa.

She tweeted: “I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. For this reason I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.”

This is a very welcome development if it will help put a stop to xenophobia.

In another news, YEN.com.gh has published a story about Wendy Shay after she posted a proof of her car registration.

There were reports that the singer did not register her new Jeep Wrangler with the DVLA, deeming her customized number plate fake.

In trying to prove the report wrong, Wendy Shay posted a copy of the registration card bearing the Chassis number and the number plate inscription.

Fans, after seeing the photo, urged the 'Uber Driver' hitmaker not to try proving herself to haters who circulated the news.
