Information reaching YEN.com.gh indicates that one Ghanaian has been shot at West Hills, a suburb in Johannesburg province in South Africa in a fresh attack by the South Africans.
According to reports, he was shot in the leg when violence erupted between some South Africans and foreigners in the area.
Confirming the news report, Chairman of the Ghanaians Association in Kempton Park Johannesburg, Wofa Atta, explained that the victim was in a stable condition and was getting medical attention.
Wofa Atta explained that a Ghanaian team was dispatched to the area to assist the person who was hit by the bullet in the attack.
He added that the police have been able to bring the situation under control.
Meanwhile, the Ghanaian government has created help lines and made them available to Ghanaians living in South Africa.
This, according to government, would help them get assistance and finally rescued should they be attacked in their area.
