Angry football fans attack Sierra Leone striker Umaru Bangura after missing a last minute penalty in their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier over the weekend.
The Leone stars suffered 3-2 aggregate defeat to Liberia despite winning the second leg of their encounter 1-0 at the National Stadium Sierra Leone on Sunday, September 9.
Although, coach Thomas Kojo's side were handed a chance to score the second goal to progress on away goal rule but the FC Zurich forward failed to convert the crucial chance.

After the match, the supporters vandalised the player's house in Freetown for failing to help them reach the qualification stage.
According to BBC, members of Red Cross staff were also attacked as they were accused of protecting the club's captain.

The publication further reported that four Red Cross volunteers suffered injuries when the fans hauled stones at their ambulances, which were later pictured with smashed windows.
18-year-old goalkeeper Ashley Williams was the hero of the match for saving the stoppage-time penalty which helped Liberia reach the qualifiers.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Liberia president George Weah has taken to Facebook account to condemn a recent attack on the country's national football team by angry fans in Sierra Leone.
The Lone Star of Liberia are currently in Sierra Leone's capital, Freetown, to honour the second leg of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
Liberia won the first leg of the tie played in Monrovia 3-1 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex.
