Fix 'increasing rate' of corruption in your gov't' - Former NDC MP tells Akufo-Addo

The former deputy communications minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has stated that President Akufo-Addo does not want to accept the fact that his administration has been swallowed by corruption.

Felix Kwakye Ofosu said Akufo-Addo’s recent comment on the topic seems to mean he does not intend to do anything about the ‘increasing’ rate of corruption in his administration.

Speaking on Peace FM's morning show, Ofosu Kwakye said the NPP is rather accusing the NDC, meanwhile it is not only the NDC complaining about the increase of corruption in his administration.

“Akufo-Addo is rather accusing the NDC…meanwhile it is not only the NDC complaining about the increase of corruption in his administration.
He doesn’t want to accept that there is an increase in corruption in his administration; neither does he intend to do anything about it” he indicated.

In other news, Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo has refuted suggestions and allegations that his government has literally cleared all persons accused of being corrupt or involved in the malpractice.

Speaking at the 2019 Ghana Bar Association Conference held in Takoradi in the Western Region on Monday, September 9, the President noted that the war against corruption will not be won overnight.

He also opined that he is not responsible for the clearance of persons indicted in corruption scandals.
