Mom creates household 'jobs' for her kids to apply to earn allowance

In a bid to shape the mind-sets of her children, Shaketha Marion McGregor, a mother of three decided her kids would have to earn their allowance by finishing household chores.

The Georgia native created a hiring event for her kids to apply for jobs in the house to work for their allowance just like working adults.

Shaketha Marion McGregor, took to Facebook to share details of the job on her Facebook page which has since garnered over 213k likes, more than 35k comments and over 130 share.

She had vacancy for kitchen manager, laundry supervisor and lead housekeeper.

Shaketha’s oldest son Jahkeem is 13, her 10-year-old daughter Takeia and Serinity, her 6-year-old daughter would have to apply for the jobs to earn their income.

Jahkeem, her 10-year-old son's application letter was rejected for position because it had already been filed.

While parents have a responsibility to provide the needs of their children, some kids have an entitled mind-set that parents have to provide their excessive wants as well.

However, Shaketha, had to come up with the brilliant idea to teach her children about earning their own monies and prepare them for their adult lives.

Meanwhile, a Ghanaian student from the Mankessim MA. School in the Central region has gained traction again following another adorable creative drawing of highlife artiste, Dennis Nana Dwamena, famed as KiDi. The young boy first gained social media stardom when an artwork he designed of the late Ebony Reigns was shared in a popular Facebook page.

YEN.com.gh reported earlier that Kwabena Atta Kakra, a teacher of the boy posted the toddler’s drawing in the group which went viral not long after the post was shared.
