Bukom Banku has arrived in Ghana to rousing welcome following his knockout victory over Hungary's Ferenc Albert in the UK.
Boxer Braimah Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku, has returned to Ghana after defeating Hungarian opponent, Ferenc Albert, in his first international fight outside Ghana.
Banku got the victory after dropping the Hungarian in round three at St George Hall in Bradford, the UK on Saturday, September 7, 2019.
Beofre the fight, Ferenc had promised to knock out Banku in round three but he turned out to be a no match for Banku as the Hungarian got knocked out rather.
A video sighted by YEN.com.gh shows hundreds of fans thronging the airport to meet their champion.
Upon setting sights on him, the crowd mobbed him and carried him shoulder high with chants.
Later, Banku was spotted in convoy of vehicles showing off the title he won while acknowledging cheers from fans.
The win over the Hungarian has come at a good time for the boxer and his fans. Since his historic defeat to Bastie Samir in 2017, Banku had always wished to find his feet.
