- A pupil-teacher known as Richmond Nana Boison Benyenu has been charged with defrauding a woman
- The woman, who is yet to be identified, revealed that Benyenu promised to marry her but failed to do so
- She added that he took an amount of GH¢10,127 from her and has failed to pay back the money
Information available to YEN.com.gh shows that a pupil-teacher in Obuasi, Richmond Nana Boison Benyenu, has defrauded a woman.
Benyenu is currently standing trial at an Accra Circuit Court for allegedly refusing to honour his promise of marrying the woman, who is yet to be identified.
He has also been charged with defrauding her of an amount of GH¢10,127, and this has left her unhappy and depressed.
The teacher has reportedly married another woman and has consequently pleaded guilty to acts of domestic abuse.
The reason, per a report by graphic.com.gh, is because he has caused psychological and emotional abuse.
Benyenu has pleaded guilty to the offence and the court admitted him to bail in the sum of GH¢5,000 with two sureties; the case has been adjourned to Monday, September 23, 2019.
Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh has learnt that Felicia Edem Attipoe, who formerly sold porridge by the roadside, has been recognized as Ghana’s first female aircraft marshaller.
Attipoe, who is a single mother, has been recognized by the organisers of Ghana’s Most Inspiring Women’s Award as the ‘Most Inspiring Woman in Aviation.’
She lost her marriage at the age of 23 after she travelled outside the country with her husband.
