Photo of Ga kenkey selling at GHC15 on Amazon pops up
- YEN.com.gh has come across a photo showing the selling price of Ga kenkey on popular online platform Amazon
- In the photo, it showed that the price of one ball of kenkey is GHC15 while the price of ten balls is GHC268
- The price is considered as outrageous because the selling price of a ball of kenkey is fifteen times lesser than that on Amazon
The price of Ga kenkey on Amazon has surfaced online as it showed that the price is fifteen times more than what it is in Ghana.
In the photo, the price of a ball of kenkey showed that it is being sold at $2.99, equivalent to GHC15 on the popular trading platform.

The same photo showed that ten balls of the same kenkey are being sold at $49, equivalent to GHC268.
It is surprising that kenkey will be sold at such a price on the world market, considering how cheap it is in Ghana.
In Ghana, a ball of kenkey goes for GHC1, minimum and bigger ones go for GHC2, thus the Amazon price is outrageous.
Comparing the normal price of kenkey in Ghana to that of Amazon, it is evident that it has been increased fifteen times.

One may not understand why a ball of kenkey will cost so much on Amazon even if shipping charges are added to it.
It shows that the sellers of the kenkey are making more profit from their product than many sellers in Ghana are making.
