A 19-year-old university student has incurred the wrath of Ghanaians with a confession that she is ashamed of her parents.
According to this student, her parents make sure to provide everything she needed for her education, however, she was still finding it hard to be tagged with them.
For this reason, she hid from them anytime they visited her on campus.

This is contained in a post sighted by YEN.com.gh on the Facebook page of David Mbir, a social media counsellor.
The student added that she was also ashamed of showing her parents to the mates on campus.
She goes to the extent of switching off her phone anytime the father went to campus to give her money.
And as for her mother, the student confessed she hides from her completely.
This, she stated, did not mean that she did not love her parents.

The saddest part of the matter was when the father realized that she was actually hiding from him and the mother, and sent a text to say how disappointed he was in her.
“Last week, my father came over and I think he realized I was intentionally hiding from him. He sent me a text saying that he was very disappointed in me for feeling ashamed of him and my mother. I feel bad right now, not because of the text, but because I couldn't be bold enough to tell them to their faces,” a part of the post read.
She then asked if it was wrong to deny her parents in public but love them in public.
