Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus forward, is keen on finding Edna and two others - staff of popular eatery – McDonalds after revealing how the trio helped him out in Portugal during an emotional interview.
The 34-year-old Ronaldo, who was close to tears during the interview with Piers Morgan on Tuesday night, September 17 spoke on several issues, including growing up in Madeira.
Ronaldo admitted he often begged for burgers on the island of Madeira courtesy of hunger, but he was quick to add he’s yet to reunite with the people, who assisted him while growing up.
"We were a little hungry. We have a McDonald's next to the stadium, we knocked on the door and asked if they had any burgers," Ronaldo was quoted as saying on ITV.
"There was always Edna and two other girls. I never found them again."
Interestingly, the McDonalds restaurant is no longer in existence, but the footie star insists he wants to find Edna to "give something back" for her assistance in the past.
"I asked people in Portugal, they closed the McDonalds, but if this interview can help find them, I would be so happy," he added.
"I want to invite them to Turin or Lisbon to come have dinner with me because I want to give something back."
