September 21 declared public holiday to mark Nkrumah memorial day
Government has officially declared that Monday, September 23, 2019 would be a holiday
The holiday is in commemoration of Nkrumah Memorial Day which falls on September 21, which happens to be a Saturday a public holiday.
A statement from the Interior Ministry said in view of the fact that September 21 falls on a Saturday, the President has declared Monday, September 23, a statutory holiday to be marked across the country.

In other news, Manhyia has responded to the NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama and his former chief of staff, Julius Debrah.
In a strongly worded letter, the Spokesperson of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu Baffour Hyiaman Brentuo VI described the former president as an ingrate.
“To call Otumfuo a liar or allow his cronies or to allow his people to disparage and pour vituperative to such a benefactor who went to the extent of accommodating you during your tenure as President, is to say the least very regrettable and inexcusable,” Otumfuo’s Spokesperson noted.
