Empire series star Terrence Howard aka Lucious Lyon to quit acting

- Empire star Terrence Howard has announced his looming exit from acting

- Howard who is known as Lucious Lyon disclosed the plan during an interview with Extra TV

- The 50 years old actor has starred in all the seasons of the series Empire and is set to exit after the season finale

Award-winning Hollywood actor, Terrence Howard, alias Lucious Lyon, has announced he will soon be retiring from acting.

Howard made the announcement during an interview with American-based celebrity and entertainment TV, Extra.

The actor disclosed he will no longer be pursuing any more acting roles after Empire's sixth and final season ends.

“I’ am done with acting. I’am done pretending,” Howard said on the show.

Howard also clarified his future plans do not include philanthropy and that he will simply be focusing on bringing the truth to the world.

Howard has played Lucious on the Fox drama series Empire for six continuous seasons.

Empire starred in 2015 and it is reportedly in its final season.

According to the actor, he is done pretending and is no longer interested in acting anymore.

Howard reportedly still has shows filming hence it is unclear what he meant by he is done with acting.

According to IMDB, the movie Cut Throat City in which he stars is in post-production, while Selfie a comedy he is also a part of is still filming.

Howard has been in acting career since the early 90s where he featured in various shows like All My Children and American Dream.
