The three persons arrested for allegedly plotting a coup in Ghana have been subjected to interrogation by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).
The suspects were apprehended in the early hours of Friday, September 20, 2019, after a swoop by the BNI and other security agencies.
They have been identified as Dr. Frederick Yao Mac-Palm, Managing Director of Citadel Hospital, Mr. Ezor Kafui, a local weapon manufacturer and Bright Allan Debrah Ofosu.

Some weapons and ammunitions were seized from them including knives, guns and explosive devices.
The security agencies seized the weapons at the Citadel Hospital, at Alajo and another location at Kpone Bawaleshie near Dodowa.
In a statement, the Information Ministry said the security agencies acted after 15 months of surveillance.
The Sector Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, said evidence was gathered on the activities of the suspects and other persons in the 15-month period before the operation was carried out.
“The joint operation was to neutralize an elaborate plot targeted at the Presidency, and with the ultimate aim of destabilizing the country. The arrest and seizure come after fifteen (15) months of surveillance and gathering of evidence on the activities of the prime suspects and others,” sections of the statement reads.
Meanwhile, the latest development is that the three alleged coup plotters are being interrogated by the BNI.
The state security has also assured that they remain vigilant and will work to safeguard national security.
This follows comments to the effect that the Asantehen persuaded him to hand over power after the release of the 2016 elections.
