Many South Africans were waiting patiently for the highly anticipated visit of Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle.
Their wish came true on Monday, but it may have caught many by surprise.
Rather than requesting the red carpet and meeting with celebrities or politicians, the royal couple jetted in for a relatively low-profile visit to the township of Nyanga in Cape Town.

While some may point to the latest SAPS crime statistics, the couple felt at home as they were warmly greeted with music, a group of dancers and a large crowd of locals.
Briefly.co.za understands that Prince Harry and Meghan are in the midst of a 10-day tour of Southern Africa.
TimesLIVE reported that the visit to Nyanga enabled the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to learn more about the outstanding work being done by The Justice Desk.

The non-profit organization educates young children on their rights and runs self-defense classes for women. The NPO were the orchestrators of the grand welcome on Monday.
The royal couple addressed the crowd and had a ball mingling with them as well.
Meghan said, "While I am here as a member of the royal family, I am here with you as a woman, as a wife, as a woman of colour."
The beautiful photos revealed some touching moments, including a few warm embraces with children and a 67-year-old gogo.
