According to Goal.com citing Corriere dello Sport, Juve official Paratici is still disappointed Ronaldo did not get the votes he needed to win, stressing the Portuguese deserved to win the award judging by the honours he carted home in 2019.
"We are also disappointed over the award last night," Paratici was quoted by Corriere dello Sport.
"While still respecting Messi, who is a great player, we think and thought that after last season, having won the Nations League, Serie A, and the Italian Super Cup, having played a great Champions League, he [Ronaldo] deserved this award."
The FIFA Best award is voted for by captain, coaches of international teams, alongside selected media representatives. Reacting moment after the ceremony, the 34-year-old took to his Instagram to make a unclear statement.
