The Rock threw the WWE universe into frenzy when he announced he would be returning to Smackdown on its debut on Friday, October 4.
The eight-time WWE champion who announced in August he had quietly retired from wrestling has now declared that there is no place like home.
The People's Champion took to his social media handle to announce to his 14 million Twitter followers that he will be returning into the squared circle.
He tweeted: "FINALLY...I come back home to my @WWE universe. This FRIDAY NIGHT, I’ll return for our debut of SMACKDOWN!"
He added: "There’s no greater title than #thepeopleschamp . And there’s no place like home.Tequila on me after the show."
The Samoan born wrestler who fully went into Hollywood was recently named the highest-paid actor for 2019 by Forbes, earning $124million
The Rock also known as Dwayne Johnson, has left the WWE and returned on several occasions making his commitment with Hollywood a priority.
His last big competitive fight was in Wrestlemania 29 when he faced John Cena but his last official fight was when he defeated Eric Rowan in six seconds at Wrestlemania 32.
