Ghana's top investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has produced another blockbuster documentary on the nefarious activities of some city guards across the country.
The latest investigative piece is titled: Aba-yee: Secrets of the corrupt city guards.
According to Anas, the latest piece took him and his team six tiring months of investigations.
The trailer of the yet-to-be-released film shows how city guards who are supposed to ensure law and order abuse power and take bribes from the poor hawkers and drivers.
The city guards then look on, as these hawkers and drivers flout the laws.
“For over 6 months, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and the Tiger Eye team worked as drivers and traders in Accra’s Central Business District.
"They monitored the activities of city guards and many who were engaged in cases of abuse of power and the taking of bribes from some hawkers and drivers who didn’t have permits," Anas posted on social media.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the director of political affairs at the office of the Vice President, Manaf Ibrahim has been sacked.
The letter signed by the Augustine Blay, secretary of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia stated that the termination was effective September 30, 2019.
