- He reportedly slipped into the coma after a medical doctor made a mistake as he tried to get him to sleep
- The doctor's motive was to repair a torn ligament but it rather induced the coma

Jean-Pierre Adams, who is a former Senegalese-French footballer, is remembered for amongst other things, his sterling performance in the central defensive position.
Things, however, took a different turn as he has been in a coma since March 17, 1982, as he lay on a hospital bed.
This followed an operation that went wrong and resulted in his condition which has lasted for 37 years.

Per a report sighted on Facebook, a doctor made a mistake while putting him to sleep for a surgery to repair a torn ligament.
His wife, Bernadette, who he married in 1969, has been by his side since then and has refused to order his euthanization.
According to her, she is optimistic that he would rise from his coma someday.
In other news, two friends, Nii Ayi Vanderpuye and Joseph Opoku Waye, have created an app that helps with the delivery of items to people regardless of their location in the country.
Their app, YENKOR, has mobilized on one platform, a number of courier services to help send and receive items with ease.
According to them, they were inspired to come up with this alternative because people often wonder how they can easily move items around with minimum risk.
