Samira Bawumia honored with global award and flaunts lovely photos to celebrate it

- The Second Lady of Ghana, Samira Bawumia, has been named as one of seven global honourees by an international group

- She was named as an honouree for 7 which is a celebration by Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) and Ashden.

- In partnership with Ashden, the aim is to strive for the achievement of UN Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7)

YEN.com.gh has learned that Ghana’s Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, has been named as a global honouree.

Information available shows that she has been outdoored as one of the seven global awardees at Seven for 7, a celebration by Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) and Ashden.

According to her, the award was in recognition of her work in the areas of pushing for action on UN Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7), which is the call for universal access to modern, reliable, renewable and affordable energy for all, by 2030.

Samira Bawumia went on to say that 'Seven for 7' is an annual event hosted by SEforAll, which is an international organisation launched by former UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon.

The aim is to drive action towards the achievement of SDG 7 and it is in partnership with Ashden, a London-based charity organisation focused on sustainable energy for poverty reduction.

She took the opportunity to thank the organizers for the recognition and pledged that as a global ambassador for the Clean Cooking Alliance, she feels an obligation to do more for society.

In other news, a Ghanaian writer, motivational speaker, humanitarian and philanthropist, Stacy Amewoyi, has donated some items to the needy in society.

Wearing a black top, red skirt, sporting shoes, and sunglasses, she is seen arranging them for distribution.

Information available suggests that she is in the United States of America but it is however not immediately clear where exactly the distribution would take place or who the beneficiaries are.
