Kantanka Automobile to produce electric cars in December - CEO

- Kwadwo Safo Kantanka Junior says Kantanka Automobile will produce electric cars on the Ghana market by December 2019

The Chief Executive Officer of local car manufacturer, Kantanka has revealed the company is working hard to come out with its first electric car before the end of 2019.

Kwadwo Safo Kantanka Junior opined that Kantanka Automobile is ready to compete with latest trends and innovations across the globe.

By the end of this year, Kantanka will build electric cars that could travel between Accra to Kumasi before recharge. We intend to do that before this year ends,” he said in an interview on Starr Fm in Accra.

He also noted that the company is expanding, with a new office in Dubai.

”Our company is fast growing and currently we have another headquarters at Dubai and the challenge there is healthy for us because they understand luxury and that is good for us,” he said.

Kantanka Automobile Company Limited is a subsidiary of the Kantanka Group of Companies founded by Kwadwo Sarfo Kantanka, the founder and leader of Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that barring any last-minute hitch, acting Inspector General of Ghana Police (IGP) COP James Oppong-Boanuh would be named substantive man in charge.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has submitted the name of the acting IGP to the Council of State for approval.
