Firebrand NPP Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong says the cordial relationship between he and former president John Dramani Mahama has been marred by politics.
According to him the two families use to have a superb relations that was envied by many, including members of his party.
The legislator in an interview on NET 2 TV said “I have a soft spot for Mahama, I really like him”.
Mr. Agyapong further stressed that he likes the personality of John Mahama but politics and entrenched positions have destroyed a rather beautiful relationship that existed between both families.
He explained that the allegations by social media commentator Kevin Taylor that he was involved in the killing of the former MP for Abuakwa North, J.B. Danquah Adu led him to talk about nudes involving John Mahama.
He said but for setting the records straight, he would never had talked about the supposed nudes of the former president.
In conclusion, the Assin Central MP said he is praying a time will come when politics in Ghana will grow beyond party lines and maturity will take centre stage so that politicians can genuinely extend hands of friendship and tolerance.
Kennedy Agyapong in September 2019 alleged that former MP for Abuakwa North, J.B. Danquah Adu was killed by some members close to former president Mahama because he had naked pictures of the then-president.
According to him, the late J.B. Danquah Adu was dating a girl who also dated the former president.
