- Reports indicate that 21 students have collapsed following such reports

The Fumbisi Senior High School (SHS), located in Builsa South in the Upper East region, has been shut down following the collapse of some students.

An estimated 21 students have lost consciousness after reportedly seeing ghosts in the school.

According to the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Builsa South, Daniel Gariba, it was decided that the school should be closed down because there was a need to forestall unforeseen mayhem.

He added that there was the likelihood that the students would become increasingly agitated over reports of activities of witches in the school.

Per a report by 3news.com, a student of the school, who is yet to be identified, reportedly fell from the second floor of the girls’ dormitory on the night of Sunday, October 6, 2019, after she saw a strange creature.

The student was rushed to the Fumbisi Health Center, where she was treated and is now recovering.

YEN.com.gh has however learned that out of the 21 students, it is yet to be confirmed if 10 of them also saw ghosts.

The students have meanwhile refused to take their lunch and have revealed plans of rioting late in the night.

In other news, Sabina Koba Dosu, a teacher at the Akwatia St Dominic Junior High School in the Eastern region, has been awarded a 3-bedroom house worth GHC180,000.

Dosu teaches Science and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and was adjudged as the Most Outstanding Teacher for the year 2019.

Presenting the award to her, the vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, noted that teachers in Ghana still face challenges that need to be addressed.
