Professor Ransford Gyampo, one of the senior lecturers at the University of Ghana, has been in news for the wrong reasons.
This follows BBC's latest documentary on sex-for-grades in West African universities in which Gyampo and one other colleague, Dr. Paul Butakor got 'busted'.
Gyampo is one of the lecturers who doesn’t sleep when national issues are being discussed.
One of those national issues that garnered lots of reactions was the secret recording of NDC chairman, Ofosu Ampofo, who is an elder in the Church of Pentecost.
In the audio, a voice believed to be Ampofo's is heard urging people to take the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs Jean Adukwei Mensa to the 'cleaners'.
The voice also endorsed verbal attacks on the National Peace Council Chairman, Most Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Asante.
The audiotape also suggested that abductions and kidnappings could be used to silence political opponents.
In Gyampo’s take on the said secret recording, he called on the chairman of the Church of Pentecost to deal with a personality like the NDC chairman.
A video of Gyampo taking the NDC chairman cleaners while speaking on News File has surfaced online.

Social media users have reacted to the video by mocking Gyampo.
@awosikabibini commented: “This life erh... correct example of “wo nya obi asem aaaa su su ka ma wony3 correct biaaa saaa”
@tati_babyansaa also wrote: “So is urs going to die anaa. Gh be y3 d3 ooooo.”
@vigistiwatt simply wrote: “Hmmm.”
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported how Gaympo released an official response to the allegations.
According to Professor Gyampo, he has not involved himself in sex-for-grades as the BBC's video is implying.
In a swift response, Gyampo indicated that he was aware of the University of Ghana's Sexual Harassment Policy and has always adhered to it.
