Heartwarming photos of Down Syndrome couple married for over 20 years

In sickness and in health is one of the vows intending couples are made to mutter on their wedding day and time has shown that not all of these couples actually keep to the vow.

However, some other couples have proven that true love knows no disabilities or sickness as they maintain their union for several decades.

YEN.com.gh has sighted the report of the longest married couple with Down syndrome. Gareth Tobias and Deana have been married for 27 years despite living with the condition.

According to reports from Metro UK, Gareth and Deana met and fell in love with each other when they were 17 and 19 years of age respectively.

The couple’s friendship later developed into a romantic relationship as they started considering getting married 10 years later, Metro reports. The lovebirds eventually tied the knot on July 4, 1992, and they are obviously still going strong 27 years later.
