Popular Nigerian music star Wizkid has recently made a new revelation about his 2013 exit from Banky W owned record label, Empire Mates Entertainment (EME), that many people may not know about.
In a video clip making the rounds on social media from the singer’s interview at popular UK radio station, Capital Xtra, he was heard talking about some of the circumstances that surrounded his exit from the record label.
Fielding a question about how he left the music company to go and hustle independently, he explained that not a lot of people knew the real story behind his exit.

It would be recalled that Wizkid became the first act of the label after he was signed by Banky W way back in 2009. He left EME after the release of his second album and the expiration of his 5-year contract.
Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh previously gathered that several Nigerians took to social media with mixed reactions following announcement that international singer, Beyonce, made her official submission for the next edition of the Grammy Awards.
Many suggested that Wizkid may be bringing home the highly coveted music award home, since his song with Beyonce, Brown Skin Girl, featured on the song diva’s The Gift album.
