A woman by name Andrea Pizziconi is alleging she was sexually harassed by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro-Owusu.
According to the CEO of Africa Integras, in her dealings in Ghana and with the University, the current VC, Prof. Oduro-Owusu, made life really unbearable for her.
In a series of social media posts, Andrea Pizziconi alleged that Prof. Oduro-Owusu declined to work with her to save the Africa Integras project on the basis that she was “far too pretty to worry my little head about the project”.

She said on one occasion when she met with the vice-chancellor, he told everyone to “turn around, everyone, I want to give her a proper hug.”
Andrea Pizziconi said just because she stood her grounds and did not give in to the pressure of Professor Oduro-Owusu, she was attacked and discredited in the media.
In her post on Twitter, the Africa Integras CEO opined that Prof. Ebenezer Oduro-Owusu went ahead to publicly suggest that her company's project deal with the University was invalid as it was signed under duress in a hotel room between his predecessor and herself.

Her comments come after BBC Africa Eye documentary on sex-for-grades sparked conversation about the ordeal some female students go through in the hands of some lecturers.
In the BBC exposé two senior members of the University of Ghana, were implicated. The two are Prof. Ransford Gyampo and Dr. Paul Kwame Butakor.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the University of Ghana in its policy on sexaul harassment and misconduct, says it seeks to provide an atmosphere of work and study in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.
The University's policy on sexual harassment is intended to guide the University of Ghana community.
