Controversial Ghanaian musician Shatta Wale has said that Ghana needs a new political party aside from the ‘usual’ NDC, NPP.

He added that Ghanaians are fed up with the two political parties and need someone different to manage the economy as expected.

“We need a new party. NDC, NPP, Ghanaians are tired,” Shatta Wale stressed.

He made these statements in a video sighted by YEN.com.gh when he had an interview with Metro TV’s Paul Adom-Okyere.

Shatta Wale’s remark would come as a surprise to many people who know about his fine relationship with President Akufo-Addo.

He is on record as the first musician to be invited over to the Jubilee House by the president.

Shatta Wale was given a very cherished gift by the president, and they happen to follow each other’s progress on social media.

Therefore, his statement shows that indeed, he must be very tired of the way things are being managed in the country.

The musician added that he sees himself as someone who would be a good president because nobody would go hungry under his government as is the case under Akufo-Addo now.

In earlier reports by YEN.com.gh, Shatta Wale had already said Ghanaian youths are disappointed in Akufo-Addo.

He again said Ghanaian youths are suffering, and called on the president to be up and doing.

In a more recent publication, Shatta Wale was adjudged the Artiste of the Year at the just-ended 2019 Ghana Music Awards UK.
